A drive through Korlai Village

During my birthday we had planned a random trip to Kashid that too on a weekday. To our surprise, we had an entire beach to ourselves that day.

It was a fun family outing on sort of a private beach. On our way back we took detour to Korlai village to view this rocky Korlai beach situated between Revdanda and Kashid.

It was almost 5 pm when we drove through the village. While most of the old people and children were having leisure time, others were busy wrapping up their usual fishing related chores.

Korlai village has these narrow lanes and later rusty rocky route that takes you to the Korlai Fort which was built in 1521 by the Portuguese. Unfortunately we could not get the chance to explore the fort but I managed to click few images of the village on our way back.

  1. Krishna! I think these fotos National Geographic or some significant magazine would publish! You are an amazing photographer as you know 🙂 I love how you tell the story of the village with your fotos!!! And your phrase the “Sun yet to set” is lovely. ;D
